In- Home care

Home care services are delivered by qualified and trained staff of Good Samaritan Care Services. This support will help you to work towards achieving your goals of remaining independent in your own home for longer and ensure that you are supported to live safely within your home environment.

Home Modification

Home modifications are changes to the structure, layout or fittings of a participant’s home so they safely access it and move around comfortably in areas they frequently use.

Home modifications may be included in your plan if:

  • due to the impact of your disability, you or your carers cannot reasonably access and use frequently used rooms and spaces in your primary residence;
  • your primary residence, in its current condition, has significant and adverse impacts on the sustainability of current living and care arrangements; and

a suitably qualified Occupational Therapist has performed an assessment and recommended home modifications, considering all possible alternatives, including the use of equipment

NDIS assistance with daily life

NDIS assistance with daily life provides assistance or supervision of personal tasks during day-to-day life that helps the NDIS participant to live as independently as possible. These supports are provided individually to participants and can be provided in a range of environments, including your own home.

Personal care services apply to assistance with day-to-day personal activities including assistance with, or supervision of, routine personal tasks of daily life. For example:

  • Toileting, bladder and bowel management and menstrual care;
  • Personal hygiene like shower, bathing, oral hygiene, dressing and grooming;
  • Eating and drinking;
  • Attending health appointments;
  • Use of aids and appliances, hearing and communication devices;
  • Application of splints as a result of a participant’s disability.
  • Mobility and transferring, for example moving in and out of bed and on or off the toilet; using manual, electric and ceiling hoists
  • Home Respite
  • Nursing care
  • Personal care
  • Keeping active
  • Domestic assistance
  • Transport and travel
  • Medication assistance
  • Social and community access
  • Shopping and meal preparation
  • Social support and companionship

Domestic Support is a service provided to participants who may have a NDIS Plan and need a little extra help with daily living by an approved NDIS Provider.

Domestic Support involves a support worker visiting your home and assisting you with various tasks that you may not be able to complete by yourself. Our care workers are here to help you with daily activities such as tidying the bathroom, bedroom or kitchen, vacuuming or mopping the floors and dusting around your home.
